In the bleak mid-winter this is a great time to get a
head-start on the local real estate market. 
Northern Virginia real estate market is leading the country out of the
recession.  With the lowest unemployment
rate of major markets and leading job growth, the demand is strong.   There are fewer homes on the market than
usual as the number of distressed properties is declining, and other sellers
